Posted by RichyRed Alert.
Posted by RichyIt is time that someone turns on the Red Alert, before it is too late, before all Christians leave their villages in the South.
History repeats itself, but every time with a higher price. Southern Christian villages are threatened to be deserted, then sold to Shia, then become a copy of Maroun El Ras, a Christian village with Shiaa citizens.
In the Liberation, they paid their large share, Debel for example lost more than 60 % of its citizens running away from Hizbulla’s revenge, now they are in Israel or any other place, and do not have the right to come back, I’ve already discussed this in an earlier article (In The Memory Of The Liberation) and they’ve economically and socially payed and I also already discussed this issue in another article ( The Real Resistance).
Now, once again, Southern are paying the double price, this time it will be a high price, this time their presence is endangered. This time if everybody kept watching, and maximum nagging, in 10 years there will be no Christians in the South.
Their houses are destroyed, heavily destroyed, and no one of them really believes Hizbulla will help them, they might give them some dollars, just for the public reputation, but sure it won’t be enough to rebuild and return to the normal life. One little example, all their water installations are destroyed because of the battles, they all have no water, and even if water arrived to villages, they can’t store it; this is just a little sample.
Berri, himself, set as priority punishing those villages, because they did not vote for his list; Berri can punish them hard since he handles the prices of Tobaco in the South, and those villages live from that agriculture.
Schools there are destroyed. there is a school for the Maronite nuns, that will probably not open, because Shiaas are not there to send their children, therefore Christians will have to go to the cities to get some education; Christians go in a one way trip, leaving behind them destroyed and half destroyed houses, while Shiaas will go, but later come back to live in their rebuilt houses, buy Christian villages lands, and make sure no Christian comes back.
You need a 1 hour with a young man from those villages, to realize his anger towards all, yes all, Christian leaders, for leaving them alone, using them in speeches; they are even mad at the Maronite church, especially at Saida bishop for letting them alone, desperate.
Those young men and ladies started work instead of sitting and nagging, a new institution is formed, named AWFA, we are all urged to help that institution by ALL means, we are all urged, now more than ever, to help them as much as possible, to go to the South, to be beside them, ready for anything they might ask for!! They are now doing a sum up for casualties, later on will start solving the problems one after one, as much as possible.
It is time, if not too late, to wake up, to really work for our real cause, instead of our sick attitudes of running after power and governance. It is a RED ALERT.
Pierre Dakach and the neutrality lie.
Posted by RichyWe all easily remember the Baabda-Aley elections.
No need to remind anyone how things happened, how General Aoun proposed Pierre Dakach and no one else, and how LF refused him in the beginning, then, magically he was accepted as a NEUTRAL person.
LF convinced us, and many attacked us because we said no, no he is not neutral, no we do not believe this, no we refuse.
Yesterday I was watching the news, and I saw MP Dakach with General Aoun’s blog in front of the constitutional council, exactly behind General Aoun.
Is that called neutrality ? It is true he is not attending their meetings, but it seams he is joining their campaigns.
Especially in this specific move, he is taking a definitive stance with General Aoun, and supporting the constitutional council that is supposed to give General Aoun the majority.
Not to score points or anything, I just want to remind all how things happened and how we were forced to believe he is neutral, well no he is not, and all who tried to convince us are held accountable.
I also want to ask Baabda Aley people not to forget this one, not to fall in the same trap again, Dakach is not neutral, and if they agreed on making it without elections this does not make him neutral.
Waking up time !
In The Memory Of The Liberation.
Posted by RichyIn the Memory of the Southern “Liberation”, I want to, once again, swim against the flow and salute the Southern Christians for what they had survived during the “liberation” year.
In addition, I want to call on the government to totally discharge people who left Lebanon terrified from Hizbulla, knowing their fate after the “liberation”, those families are Lebanese as much as we all are, and even more. Those men deserve to peacefully live in their homeland, and it is not Hizbullah the side that decides if they can come back or not, or if they will “easily” condemn them or not; this is totally unacceptable.
As those families said in their last press issue, they will not come back to Lebanon under conditions, they want to come back as free Lebanese, enjoying all their rights, uncensored, and mostly live peacefully; to live peacefully Hizbulla should be disarmed.
I also want to call from here, on all who are pretending working for those families, not to use them for political gain. They won’t come back as long as Hizbulla is armed, so supporting Hizbulla and asking them to come back under “conditions” is simply using them what is also unacceptable.
From here too, I want to call on all who are ignoring those families, forgetting about their issue, forgetting that they resisted against Irano-Syrio plans, they had no other choices, they did not collaborate with Israel with pleasure, they had to choose the kinder devil, to try by all means to bring them back, the way they want to come back.
Finally, I want to salute those brave men and women, who were dropped by their government, considered outlaws, forgotten by their people, forced to live outside their country, and all they can do is watch their villages from kilometers and dream to visit them one day.
The Real Chrisitan Resistance
Posted by RichyThe real resistance is in the South, but not the resistance of Hizbullah, the resistance of Southern Christians. After spending a weekend there with the young men of those villages and after a tour in of those poor villages, I can tell you very confidently that they are the real resistance.
“Since the liberation day we have been having very gloomy days”, according to one of the young men from a village, “We have been affected on all levels.”
On the security level they had always felt protected and safe because of the presence of SLA and especially because of 3a2el Hachem, who was assassinated by Hizbullah with the collaboration of Israel. He was a strong man and if he was alive during the liberation day he would not have let Hizbullah enter the Christian areas. After the liberation people had to tie their cars so no one would come and steal it. What made Israel allow Hizbullah to assassinate him?
Economically, Hizbullah and Amal apparently gave clear orders to their supporters not to buy anything from Christian sellers which in return forced them to close their shops and mostly immigrate. Many Christians are now outside Lebanon, some in Israel and some left Israel to other countries, just because they cannot come back to Lebanon. Many of them, especially men from “klay3a” come to the Israeli borders and watch their own village which is just 2 minutes away. They can’t come back to Lebanon and they haven’t been to their villages for over 6 years now. Over 50 Lebanese children who were born in Israel cannot get a Lebanese citizenship.
Every year, people in the Christian areas face problems with Hizbullah when it comes time to collect their olives during picking season. Hizbullah always coincidentally sets up tactical checkpoints between the olive gardens and the Christians and they stop anyone from passing across.
Socially, people there are living a miserable life, they have no work domains, they all work in agriculture and I guess this is one of the main reasons that they are tied to their villages.
Politically there isn’t much to talk about. They are not represented above all ignored by ALL parties. The majority of the villagers are pro LF, yet the LF does not ask about them. The villagers complain about how they feel so ignored and left alone to face their miserable fate.
All the above reasons and more are causing major problems, most importantly Christians leaving their villages. Only 10% are currently still living in their hometowns which is a lot less then when they were under occupation. Moreover because of their need for money, they are selling their lands to the Shiite. If you go to the area you can see how in the Shiite villages houses are being built while in the Christian villages houses are vacant and abandoned.
These Christians living there are the real resistance, the real Christians, living the simple life attached to the land, believing in God and relying on him.
From here I call on all the Christians leaders to take a trip to those villages, spend a weekend just like I did, and they will see how unfair their situation is. I believe our Christian politicians should be ashamed because of the situation of those villages.
I urge everyone of you to visit the villages and spend some time there and see how nice, honest and friendly the people are and maybe give them some hope in return.
